James McKeogh Tournament 2024
Today we took part in the James McKeogh Tournament in Ballina. The tournament consisted of two 40 minute games against Ogonelloe of Clare and Ballina of Tipp.
We played Ogonelloe in the first game and won on a scoreline of 0-12 to 1-5. Cappa did enough with the wind in the first half to get over the line.

Subs used: Pakie Barry (0.1), Brian G Buckley, Michael O’ Neill, Cian O’ Carroll.
In the second game we played against Ballina. Similar to the first game, we played with the wind in the first half and took a 2-5 to 0-4 lead at the break thanks to goals from Gearoid Lennon and Pakie Barry.
Ballina started the second half stronger and got back to within three points. With 5 minutes to go David Buckley, broke through the defence and dispatched to the net, sealing the win for Cappa.

After the game, Captain David Buckley collected the trophy and Rian Doody collected Player of the Tournament.
