Some highlights of what our U13’s got up to in 2022!

Well done to our Cappawhite Gaels second U13 team. Winners of the West U13D Football Shield with a win against Kickhams in the rain in Cappa.
Great commitment shown on the pitch by all and great commitment by the players & families especially those who changed holiday plans for games!
These young players will have many enjoyable years in Cappa jerseys to come based on the skills and enjoyment so far.

West U13A Hurling Champions!

Big congratulations to our u13s who won the West u13A Hurling Final on a very wet & windy day in Golden.

Facing a very good Cashel team in poor conditions you need your big men to stand up and Cappawhite Gaels certainly did that with a dominant display from the start.

Leading by 4 at half time 1-3 to 0-2 following a great goal from Morgan O Connor. Facing into the breeze for the second half if was always going to be the team that worked harder and Cappawhite Gaels powered on with Cathal Martin, Darragh Hayes, Ciaran Downey & Jamie Renehan among those to the fore. A late penalty goal converted by Morgan sealed the win.

To jubilant scenes at the end our captain Jack accepted the Cup with a gracious speech. Some young additions to the squad are making big contributions this year & a committed management team in Ciaran, Ger, Dessie, Mike & Owen who can be very proud they had all the lads primed for the final.
